Labrador Warns Idaho Families About 24 Federally Recalled Products, From Pool Drains to Power Fans
Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador is urging state residents to check their homes after releasing a list of 24 consumer products subject to federal recall for June, covering everything from children’s toys and nursery furniture to motorized off-road vehicles.
The recalls were issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and span a wide range of household categories, including appliances, clothing, furniture, and sporting goods. Labrador’s office compiled and publicized the list as part of an ongoing effort to keep Idaho consumers informed about products that may pose serious safety risks.
Fire, Entrapment, and Drowning Risks Among the Hazards
Several items on the list carry especially serious warnings. The Merkury Innovations Hot + Cool Heating and Cooling Fan was recalled over fire and overheating risks, while the Kidisle coffeemaker was flagged for a burn hazard tied to clogging. HSN Kitchen HQ Thermal Insulated Bowls were also recalled — metal springs inside the bowls pose a fire hazard if placed in a microwave.
Pool safety is another concern. The Houoto 642-2150V Pool Drain Cover, sold on Amazon through a seller called Prosperity, was recalled due to entrapment and drowning risks. The Joyin Sloosh Dive Sticks were pulled because of impalement dangers and a violation of a federal ban on that style of dive stick.
Furniture safety also figures prominently in this month’s list. The 7-Drawer Dresser sold on Amazon by Hasuit Direct and the Timechee Changing Table Dresser both face recall for tip-over and entrapment hazards. The School Specialty Tip Restraint Kits for Childcraft Furniture were similarly recalled for failure to prevent tip-overs. Two adult portable bed rail products — one sold under the Hopelight brand by MOCCI SHOP and another under the Nimood name — are recalled for entrapment and asphyxiation risks.
Vehicle and Outdoor Equipment Recalls
The list also includes recalls affecting motorized vehicles. Kawasaki Motors USA recalled its Model Year 2026 Teryx4 H2 and Teryx5 H2 side-by-side vehicles over impact and injury concerns. Yamaha is recalling its Model Year 2021 and 2022 Fleet Golf Cars due to a crash hazard linked to the passenger-side brake cable, and its UMAX Bistro and Bistro Deluxe Vehicles were flagged for carrying an inaccurate weight capacity label.
Shoppers who frequent Costco should also take note: Arctic Zone Titan Pro Coolers, imported by California Innovations and sold at the retailer, were recalled over a choking hazard.
Labrador’s Message to Idaho Families
The attorney general framed the announcement as a direct consumer safety warning, pointing to the risks that can accompany the volume and variety of goods now available to Idaho residents through both traditional retail and online marketplaces.
“The global marketplace gives Idaho consumers more choices than ever, but it also brings real risks when safety standards aren’t met,” Labrador said. “These 24 recalls cover products families use every day, from children’s sleepwear to pool drains to baby bottles. Check this list, check your home, and take action.”
Several of the recalled items were sold through Amazon by third-party sellers — a detail Labrador’s office highlighted, signaling that online purchases require the same scrutiny as items bought at physical stores.
What Consumers Should Do
Residents who own any of the recalled products are advised to stop using them immediately and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer or retailer for refunds, replacements, or repairs. The full recall information, including steps consumers can take, is available through the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The attorney general’s office releases these lists monthly to keep Idahoans informed of federal safety actions that may affect products already in circulation. With summer underway and families making increased use of outdoor equipment, pool accessories, and recreational vehicles, the timing of this month’s release is particularly relevant for Idaho households.
