Ada County 2026 Election Results: Highway Fee Passes, Local Races Tight

ADA COUNTY — Returns from the November 3, 2026 general election showed a favorable vote for the Ada County Highway District’s local vehicle registration fee renewal, while several courthouse contests remained close in an election-night count. Results were unofficial and subject to canvassing.

According to a November 4 BoiseDev election roundup, about 97.2% of votes had been counted at midnight, and turnout stood at 69.2%. The publication reported 53,513 early votes, 40,712 absentee ballots and 117,106 election-day votes at that point, with counting continuing.

In the Ada County Highway District races, incumbent Miranda Gold defeated challenger Sean Sundwall for Seat 3, while Marisa Keith prevailed in the contest for Seat 4, according to BoiseDev. The local vehicle registration fee was renewed by voters; that authorization extends the fee through 2046.

The Ada County commission races were less settled at the time of the midnight report. Republican incumbent Ryan Davidson and Democrat Kelceymarie Warner were closely matched in one contest, while incumbent Rod Beck and challenger Mike Fitzgerald were likewise running close in the other. The report also described the county coroner race as close. These are observations from the midnight snapshot, not a claim that subsequent counting remained unchanged.

Trent Tripple was unopposed for county clerk. Readers should consult the county’s latest election reporting and canvass documents for final totals and any subsequent changes in close races.

Reporting status: Unofficial returns from the November 3, 2026 general election, as reported in November 4 source snapshots. These figures are subject to canvassing and certification.
