Notus-Parma Highway District #2 Sets August Hearing on FY2027 Spending Plan

Notus-Parma Highway District #2 has proposed its budget for fiscal year 2027 and scheduled a public hearing for residents who wish to weigh in before the plan is adopted.

The hearing will take place on August 25, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at the District Meeting Room, located at 106 S. 4th Street in Parma. The fiscal year covered by the proposed budget runs from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.

Among the figures included in the proposed budget is a Rate Regulated Gas and Electric Company Tax allocation of $20,096. Residents can review the full budget document at the district meeting room during regular business hours or online at www.nphd.net.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and speak either in support of or in opposition to the budget as proposed, or to suggest modifications before the district takes action on final adoption.

Canyon County-area taxing districts have been active in budget planning this summer. Idaho opened fiscal year 2026 with a $14 million revenue surplus in July, a sign of continued strength in state revenues that provides broader context for local budget cycles across Idaho.
