Property taxes earmarked for the general fund are proposed to rise to $5,607,277 in FY2027, compared to $5,177,788 in FY2026 and $4,910,374 in FY2025. That represents an increase of roughly $430,000 over the current year’s property tax levy.

Non-property-tax general fund revenues — which include fees, intergovernmental transfers, and other sources — are projected at $36,449,796 for the coming year, up from $33,104,639 this year and $26,026,888 two years ago.

The sharpest growth is visible in the all-funds combined figure, which includes enterprise funds, capital projects, and other non-general accounts. That total is proposed at $204,512,708 for FY2027 — up from $154,048,474 in FY2026 and $112,599,823 in FY2025, representing a roughly 33 percent year-over-year increase in total city spending.

Kuna, located in Ada County southwest of Boise, has ranked among Idaho’s fastest-growing communities for much of the past decade. Rising population has driven increased demand for infrastructure, public services, and capital investment, all of which feed into the expanding budget picture.

The roughly $50 million jump in all-funds spending from FY2026 to FY2027 suggests the city is continuing to invest heavily in capital or infrastructure projects, though specific line-item details will be examined at the public hearing.
